    Maio Named as 2021 County Commission Chair

    The Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners selected Alan Maio, District 4, as chair and Christian Ziegler, District 2, as vice chair for 2021 during the annual strategic planning retreat on Friday. Nancy Detert, District 3, will serve as pro tem. "I am delighted to steer the county into a new year and continue supporting our community through this time," Maio said, adding, "I appreciate my colleagues’ confidence to serve as chair of the board and guide the momentum of our priorities for the new year".
