Realize Bradenton is thrilled to announce the release of the first children’s book showcasing the history and natural environment of the area where the City of Bradenton was founded. The book is titled, Old Manatee A to Z. A true community project led by Realize Bradenton, Old Manatee A to Z was written by local children’s author, Ryan G. VanCleave, and illustrated by local artist and illustrator, Don Brandes. Subject matter includes everything from the Manatee River, to Native Americans, to freedom seekers, early settlers, ice cream socials, and the railroad.
