Manatee Libraries is kicking off its new Civics Labs with the Sustainable Citizenship Series. Civics Labs offer information and discussion on various community issues and provides an opportunity for civic engagement. For January, the topic is The Benefits of Buying Local – we will be joined by Andrea Knies of Realize Bradenton to have a presentation and conversation about how buying local through small businesses and the Farmers Market stimulates Manatee County’s economy. This discussion will be online on Zoom, Friday, January 29, from 10–11am. Email Megan.Robinson@mymanatee.org to register.
