SRQ Strong Presents “Healing From Past & Current Trauma”

The Giving Coast

Unemployment, poverty, lack of access to basic health services, years of neglect, and racism – all have a negative impact on health and well-being. Our communities are suffering from cumulative trauma, compounded by the pandemic. Dr. Lisa Merritt from the Multicultural Health Institute, SRQ Strong’s Helen Neal-Ali, and Charlene Johnson of Newtown and Erianna Sanders of Bradenton will discuss the current crisis in the community and share strategies for empowering residents to heal from past and current traumas. This event will be held on Zoom and streamed on the SRQ Strong Facebook LIVE on Monday, February 22 from 6pm - 7:30pm. Details will be sent upon registration. Register through Eventbrite, for questions please email sarasotastrong@gmail.com.
