    Sarasota County Names New Solid Waste Director

    Brian Usher has been named as the director of Sarasota County's Solid Waste Department, effective Feb. 13, 2021. Sarasota County Administrator Jonathan Lewis said, "Brian has proven his dedication to public service, the taxpayers and Sarasota County Government. He showed a talent for thoughtful leadership in his previous role as manager, which made him the obvious choice for the job."
