Safe Children Coalition ‘Sells Out’ Virtual 2021 Conference

The Giving Coast

Safe Children Coalition was recently pleased to bring back its popular annual conference, featuring mental health and child welfare experts who addressed a variety of topics. This year, due to the pandemic, the conference was held virtually; the event took place April 29-30. The conference is held every year in April, in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. "As our organization has taken on new adventures, so did our conference," said Safe Children Coalition President and CEO, Brena Slater. "Conducting our conference virtually served to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and actually made participation possible for guests from across the state, while supporting our continuous efforts of educating child welfare professionals and the community."
