    Two Manatee County Students Named National Merit Scholars

    National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Amy Jones, who is graduating this week from Lakewood Ranch High School, is among the recipients. She received the National Merit Embry-Riddle Scholarship and plans to study Mechanical Engineering.
