The Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) will kick off its summer softball league and welcome dozens of top athletes to the area for opening day on today at Miss Sarasota Softball Complex located at 4470 17th St. FGCL is a pioneer in executing an elite collegiate fastpitch softball league. This summer, the league will run from Wednesday through July 14 with playoffs occurring July 17 through July 20.
