The Van Wezel Foundation (Foundation) was honored with an Award of Distinction at the Florida Public Relations Association’s (FPRA) statewide Golden Image Awards on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. This recognition applauds the Foundation’s The Vision for the Sarasota Performing Arts Center Community Engagement Campaign: A place for Ideas. A place for the Arts. A place for you. This campaign was funded through the generosity of the Zella I. and Junius F. Allen Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

“The vision of the Sarasota Performing Arts Center would not be possible without the engagement of our community, and we are honored to receive this state-wide recognition” said Cheryl Mendelson, CEO of the Foundation. “This outreach campaign will continue to evolve as we realize the promise of a new world-class performing arts center that will be a legacy for generations to come.”
