Foundations and nonprofit organizations have been dedicated to relief and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic for many months. On Thursday, September 2 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, Manatee Community Foundation and The Patterson Foundation will offer the chance to hear from health experts regarding COVID-19 data, testing, vaccine hesitancy, and community efforts to keep Manatee County healthy. In this conversation, you will hear about efforts at The Patterson Foundation, Manatee County Department of Health, and the Multicultural Health Initiative focused on data, information, and access to programs and services. After a brief presentation from each speaker, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions. Speakers include: Hannah Saeger Karnei, Fellow, The Patterson Foundation; Jennifer Bencie, M.D., M.S.A, County Health Officer, Florida Department of Health, Manatee County; and Lisa Merritt, M.D., Founder, Multicultural Health Institute.
