Shumaker Adds Public Policy and Government Affairs Service to Sarasota Office

Shumaker is expanding the services it provides in its Sarasota office. The firm announced today that it will now be offering Public Policy and Government Affairs services, while expanding its Real Estate and Development teams. The additions were announced along with the hiring of attorney Michael R. McKinley, who has four decades of experience in Public Policy and Government Affairs. The first assistant county attorney hired in Charlotte County, he has extensive experience dealing with local governments and working with Florida public school districts. “I believe my background practicing in business law, zoning, commercial loans, planning and land use, administrative law and education law will serve me and our clients exceptionally well,” he says. McKinley will also assist with the firm’s real estate work relating to community associations, owners, and developers.
