Local Organization Offers New Virtual Spanish-Language Support Group for People with Parkinson’s

Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s announced a new support program in Spanish for people with Parkinson’s and their Care Partners. This group is offered at no charge and will be held virtually on the 3rd Friday monthly. Neuro Challenge is committed to providing A Better Approach to Parkinson’s. In addition to this ongoing support group and in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th) Neuro Challenge will provide multiple programs throughout the month with a Latin twist.

“Neuro Challenge Foundation is excited to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by convening our first Spanish-language Parkinson’s Support Group. In addition, we are in the process of translating the PD 101 program into Spanish to be more inclusive of the Hispanic population in Neuro Challenge support and services,” said Dr. Sara Grivetti, CEO of Neuro Challenge. Virtual Programs include: September 17, 2021 – Spanish-language Parkinson’s Support Group; September 21, 2021 – Joyful Movement through Parkinson’s with a Latin twist, in partnership with The Sarasota Ballet; September 28, 2021 Mindful Moves: Dancing through Parkinson’s with Latin rhythms; October 6, 2021 – Creative Writing Workshop - Latin Poetry; October 20, 2021 - PD 101 en Español
