Gulf Coast Community Foundation Awards FST $45,000 Arts Appreciation Grant

The Giving Coast

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is delighted to announce that the nonprofit theater has been awarded a $45,000 Arts Appreciation grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation. In receiving this grant, FST is being recognized as one of twelve cornerstone Sarasota arts organizations that draw people—visitors, new residents, and artists—from across the country to Florida’s “Cultural Coast.” Thanks to Gulf Coast, these funds will provide key support for FST’s 48th Winter Season, which kicked off on September 29 with the first performance of the FST original music revue, The Wanderers.

Gulf Coast awarded Arts Appreciation grants to twelve arts organizations in the region, including FST, acknowledging their contributions to the economy and helping bolster the area’s reputation as a leading artistic and cultural haven. Florida’s largest subscription theatre, FST produced over 20 productions in 2019, reaching over 235,000 attendees.

For more information on this Arts Appreciation Grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation, contact Lydia Baxter, FST’s Public Relations Associate, at 941-366-9017 x338 or at Lbaxter@floridastudiotheatre.org.
