In observance of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, We Care Manatee, Inc. is partnering with Manatee Memorial Hospital to present a Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Event on Tuesday March 8, 2022 from 5:00-7:00pm. The event will be held in the Main Lobby of Manatee Memorial Hospital. Anyone over the age of 45 is qualified to receive a FREE colorectal cancer screening kit to use in the privacy of their own home. Specimen must be returned to MMH by March 31st to complete the screening. There will be no cost to the patient. Local colorectal surgeons, oncologists, gastroenterologists, primary care physicians and their staff will be onsite to discuss colorectal cancers and other care needs. Community organizations such as We Care Manatee will also be on site to provide information on free and reduced cost options for those patients without insurance.
