ALSO Youth Announces Scholarship Opportunities

ALSO Youth, a nonprofit organization serving Sarasota and Manatee Counties LGBTQ+ youth community is pleased to announce the scholarship program process is now open for multiple scholarship opportunities. ALSO Youth administers two scholarship programs and awards multiple scholarships annually. The ALSO Youth General Scholarship program is open to LGBTQ+ youth under the age of 22 as of August 1st of the year of application. The youth must be a resident of Sarasota or Manatee counties and be accepted for enrollment in an accredited non-profit academic or vocational institution in the summer or fall of the year of application. The Greg Jung Scholarship program, administered by ALSO Youth, was established to celebrate the life and work of local educator and LGBTQ+ activist, Greg Jung. The Greg Jung Scholarship is an annual $1,000.00 award to a high-school senior or college student under the age of 22 who is planning to pursue a degree in the field of education from an accredited college or university.
