Several members of the surgical team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital were at Wilkinson Elementary School as part of the national program called Remake Learning Days Across America. The program encourages hands on learning experiences. The team brought along a surgical robot for students and the community to try out. In addition, the hospital made a $1,000 donation to help foster the robotics program and donated several science, robotics, and STEAM books to the school library. The team hopes this will inspire students to pursue careers in healthcare, science, and robotics. HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital has 11 operating rooms and one of the most comprehensive robotics programs in the area.
