Happy 20th birthday to the Rusty Bucket! What better way is there to celebrate than with a scrumptious stack like the Gary's Belly Buster burger?

Until May 29 at the Sarasota locale, diners are savoring this limited-time milestone special—with its over-easy egg, American cheese, mayonnaise, relish, pickles, lettuce, onions and tomatoes on a sesame seed bun.

So, what’s the big deal about this burger? Well, first, it was named after restaurant founder Gary Callicoat, and it was previously on the menu from 2002 to 2016. The dish is a guest favorite because of the savory, oozing yolk—and the concept was inspired by a burger found at a pub in Chicago. Rusty Bucket’s 22 locations throughout Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Indiana and North Carolina are stoked to revive it.

“The burger is so rich! It’s the type of burger that ‘has you at hello,’” Callicoat says.

Two other short-term faves are joining the burger on the menu this month: the Taco Salad (a crisp tortilla topped with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, cilantro ranch dressing and salsa) and the Shrimp Scampi (sautéed shrimp, white wine garlic butter sauce, fresh herbs and tomatoes, served on top of spaghetti with a side of garlic cheese bread).

Drop in before the menu trio takes off—and don’t leave without a draft of a local lager.
