This Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Galen College of Nursing and HCA Florida Healthcare are hosting a grand opening event at the new campus located on 501 N. Cattleman Road. With over 22,700-square-feet, Galen College of Nursing’s new Sarasota campus is one of the area’s most unique educational facilities dedicated solely to nursing. The campus opened its doors in March 2022 for virtual courses and in-person instruction will begin in July 2022 to better meet the ongoing high demand for nurses. The impressive facility features high-level clinical-learning labs, active-learning classrooms, an advanced simulation hospital, and more. The grand opening ceremony features a ribbon-cutting and an opportunity for media, community leaders, future students, and alumni to explore the grounds and experience simulated lab demonstrations. The schedule is as follows: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Tours and Simulation Demonstrations; 5:30 - 5:50 p.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony; 5:50 - 6:30 p.m. Tours and Demonstrations.
