Memorial Concert Benefitting Conservation Foundation to be Held at Bay Preserve

Arts & Culture

Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast invites the community to Rock the Preserve. Saturday, October 8 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, a line-up of local musicians are donating their time and talent to celebrate the life of Mary Terese “MT” Finnegan and support Conservation Foundation’s ongoing work to protect nature here in Southwest Florida. The event will take place at the organization’s beautiful Bay Preserve on the shore of Little Sarasota Bay. Mary Terese loved Bay Preserve and Conservation Foundation’s mission to save land for the benefit of people and nature. She passed away in December of 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. This special event celebrates her life while supporting a cause she held close to her heart. All proceeds benefit Conservation Foundation. Second Nature, the host band, will perform a variety of cover songs about nature and love followed by “MT’s All Star Band” performing a set of rock ‘n roll standards. Food trucks will be onsite with delicious food and treats to enjoy during the concert. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on at this picnic-style gathering. Bay Preserve is located at 400 Palmetto Avenue in Osprey, Florida. Concert admission is free though there is a suggested donation of $10 per person. Each $10 donation provides one entry into a door prize giveaway. To RSVP or for more information, visit conservationfoundation.com/events.
