    Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to announce the promotion of Deputy Matt Kostyal to the rank of Sergeant. Kostyal was hired by the sheriff’s office in November 2014 and assigned to the Patrol Bureau. He then transferred to the Traffic Unit in 2016 and was appointed as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) later that same year.
