New College Professors' Inflation Research Published in Prominent Economic Journal

RocketKids Article

New College of Florida economics professors Tarron Khemraj and Sherry Yu have written a research paper published in the Eastern Economic Journal titled “Inflation Dynamics and Quantitative Easing.” The paper addresses one of the most important economic topics in America today, and is a breakthrough for researchers at liberal arts institutions in the field of macroeconomics. Khemraj has taught at New College since 2007. Yu joined New College in 2014. They have forged ahead on macroeconomic research despite the trend of many liberal arts schools abandoning macroeconomics research, discouraged by preferential publication for Fed economists and universities with a “Research 1” designation. “Inflation Dynamics and Quantitative Easing” is publicly available online through the Eastern Economic Journal.
