Groundbreaking Ceremony for Tara Elementary School Addition and Renovation Project

The School District of Manatee County will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a school addition and renovation project this Friday, October 6, 2023. The event is taking place at 9 a.m. at Tara Elementary School, which is located at 6950 Linger Lodge Road East in Manatee County. The school addition and renovation was approved by the School Board of Manatee County in July 2022, and the scheduled opening of the building is Fall 2025. The project includes the addition of four classrooms; roof replacement; improved traffic queuing; cabinetry and millwork, as needed; doors and windows; painting; tiles and flooring; building signage; plumbing; new mechanical system; LED lighting upgrade and other enhancements; and removal of portables.
