Halfacre Construction Company, a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, recently celebrated the completion of its modernization of the Woodland Middle School campus and new amphitheater with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located at 2700 Panacea Blvd. in North Port, the $325,000 project consisted of exterior campus improvements, including a new security fence and electric gate, as well as a new amphitheater in the school’s courtyard. The outdoor amphitheater was a design-build by Halfacre Construction Company. The construction team celebrated the finalized project on Friday, Oct. 27 with a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony that attracted over 50 attendees. During the event, the crowd heard from Tom Rees, vice president of Halfacre Construction, and Mark Grossenbacher, principal of Woodland Middle School. The middle school’s orchestra and drum line also performed while attendees enjoyed bagels, pastries and coffee donated by Halfacre. The North Port-based middle school is home to over 1,035 students in grades sixth through eighth, with a mission to urge its students to achieve at the highest level each and every day.
