The Library Foundation for Sarasota County is thrilled to announce the Community Foundation of Sarasota County as Presenting Sponsor of the 12th annual Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon, to be held on February 9, 2024 at the Municipal Auditorium in Sarasota. The sellout event will feature two-time Pulitzer Prize winning author, Colson Whitehead. The Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon is the nonprofit Library Foundation’s signature fundraiser. To date, the event has raised more than two million dollars to support Sarasota County public libraries. The mission of the Library Foundation is to champion strong public libraries, support innovation and help to extend the library system’s reach for everyone in Sarasota County. “We are delighted to have the Community Foundation as our Presenting Sponsor and deeply appreciate their longstanding partnership in supporting the foundation and Sarasota County Public Libraries,” said Alisa Mitchell, Executive Director.
