Bishop-Parker Foundation Appoints Chief Executive Officer

The Giving Coast

Bishop-Parker Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Deming as the organization’s first Chief Executive Officer. Bringing a wealth of experience in the philanthropic sector and community leadership, Deming succeeds Adell Erozer, the Foundation’s current executive director, who is retiring in February. Deming currently operates Deming Consulting, a firm providing capacity-building services that strengthen nonprofit organizations in southwest Florida and beyond.  As a BoardSource Certified Governance Consultant since 2016, she has partnered with hundreds of non-profit executives and board members to make positive and lasting contributions to the organizations they lead. Before launching Deming Consulting, Deming served for five years as Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, FL, where she was responsible for leading internal operations, overseeing finance, marketing, development, human resources, strategic planning, and board governance.  Prior to her tenure at Selby Gardens, Deming served in various roles at Gulf Coast Community Foundation in Venice, FL, from 2000 to 2018, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary. Deming holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Furman University (Greenville, SC) and a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University (Fairfax, VA). In addition to being a Certified Governance Consultant, she has certificates in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as Ethical Leadership from the University of South Florida.
