Sisterhood For Good Gains National Recognition

The Giving Coast

Sisterhood For Good, an all-volunteer organization that benefits local nonprofits through group philanthropy, is proud to announce it has been awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid (formerly GuideStar). Candid is an information service specializing in reporting on U.S. nonprofit companies, whose database provided information on 2.5 million organizations. “We are honored to receive the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid and remain committed to being accountable to our donors and our community,” said founding donor and company president Angela Massaro-Fain. “We are filled with gratitude and look forward to empowering positive change for years to come."  The designation places Sisterhood For Good in the top 0.1% of charitable organizations nationally in terms of transparency, meaning the Lakewood Ranch nonprofit shares clear and vital information with the public about its goals, strategies, capabilities, and achievements. The elevation to Platinum Level comes after three years of maintaining the Gold Seal of Transparency, and from thousands of volunteer hours, fundraising and prudent business strategies. As a result of the award, donors can easily find financial information about Sisterhood For Good to help them make informed decisions when considering a gift that supports its mission.
