Visit Sarasota County (VSC) has named Suzanne Hackman as its new Director of Sales and Industry Relations. She is responsible for developing sales strategies to attract overnight business to Sarasota County and managing relationships with local businesses and partners. Hackman has extensive experience in the meetings, events and destination marketing organization (DMO) industries. She most recently served as the Regional Director of Sales for PRA Business Events. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater, an organization she was with for more than 17 years. A graduate of University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and human resource management, Hackman is a Certified Destination Management Executive (CMDE) and has multiple professional industry affiliations including Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).
