The Pops Orchestra Opens 49th Season on Nov 10 with Great Balls of Fire

Arts & Culture

The Pops Orchestra was poised to expand its season by adding an evening concert on Sundays at the Riverview Performing Arts Center. However when Hurricane Milton damaged both stages at both Riverview and the Neel Performing Arts Center on the SCF campus, The Pops leaders looked furiously for alternate concert venues. Luckily repairs are nearly finished at SCF and Neel will be available for the opening weekend. Another stroke of luck was the Sunday matinee opening in Venice on November 10. As a result of this disruption and the significant unexpected costs, The Pops Orchestra has canceled the Sunday evening concerts this season and combine the audience with the matinee performances at 3 pm. In December, there will be one performance back Sarasota at Riverview PAC on Sunday, Dec 15 and the 7:30 pm concert on Monday, December 16 at Neel in Bradenton.
