Safe Children Coalition Distributes Hundreds of Thanksgiving Meals to Families in Need

This past Saturday, Safe Children Coalition continued its tradition of distributing hundreds of Thanksgiving meals to its program participants as well as clients of other partnering agencies that serve low-income families. With the support of area philanthropists, SCC has been doing this for nearly 30 years; the effort began as a community service project for teens involved with SCC's Achievers program. Approximately 550 turkeys, along with sides and dessert, were distributed on Saturday.
