The Sarasota Players Receives $6,000 Grant

The Sarasota Players is thrilled and thankful to receive a $6,000 grant from The Community Foundation of Sarasota County through the Cyril and Dorothy Veinnott Memorial Fund II, to support hiring a consultant for a review of operations and board of trustees development. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the board is the governing body of Sarasota’s 95-year-old community theatre. Recently, The Players obtained the lease for a new home in Payne Park Auditorium, and as they work to renovate the space, the organization is taking steps to become strong in all aspects, including strengthening the theatre’s board.
