Community Day School Students Partner with Aviva Senior Living Residents to Create Beautiful Garden

The Giving Coast

Hershorin Schiff Community Day School’s (CDS) 6 th grade students are making a meaningful impact in their community through a collaborative, intergenerational project with the residents of Aviva Senior Living. Together, they are building a beautiful garden that not only enhances the environment but also strengthens the bonds between generations.  This intergenerational garden project is just one example of how Community Day School nurtures a sense of community and responsibility in its students. By engaging in real-world projects like this one, students learn the importance of service, teamwork, and collaboration while making a lasting impact on the world around them.
