District Receives $1.2 Million Grant for Professional Learning Opportunities

Sarasota County Schools is pleased to announce that the school district has received a $1.2 million grant from Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation geared toward creating, providing, and maintaining enhanced professional learning opportunities for its teachers, leaders, and staff members. The initiative is designed to provide educators, leaders, and staff with continuous professional development opportunities. The school district will utilize the grant to design and implement a phased professional learning plan which will offer both short- and long-term development opportunities, all aligned with Sarasota County Schools’ strategic plan.
