Planned Parenthood Breaks Records, Raises Nearly $900k at Annual Dinner

Last Thursday, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida (PPSWCF) hosted their annual Sarasota-Manatee fundraising dinner at The Ora Hotel. The event, themed “Care. No Matter What,” was the most successful in PPSWCF’s history in the region, with a record number of attendees, sponsors, and dollars raised. Highlights: nearly $900,000 raised, over 400 attendees and nearly 100 sponsors. The event featured educational videos from students as part of the Ringling College of Art + Design INDEX Program, an experiential education initiative developed by Ringling in partnership with The Patterson Foundation. The videos cover topics including condom storage, comfort during sex, and masturbation and are set to premiere on social media in the coming weeks.
