Forty Carrots Family Center received a Bishop-Parker Foundation grant for parenting education for expecting and post-partum parents and infants. Forty Carrots provides services at no cost to clients, and groups are supportive learning environments where parents can safely discuss the feelings, struggles, and accomplishments of being an expecting or new parent. Parenting education is essential to the prevention of mental health issues in children, as it addresses the emotional well-being of parents and its significant influence on a child's developmental outcomes.  "At Bishop-Parker Foundation, we believe in investing early to build strong foundations for the future of Manatee County. We are proud to partner with Forty Carrots in their vital work to create nurturing environments where children can thrive," said Wendy Deming, Bishop-Parker Foundation CEO.
