It's Time to Help Your Community Prepare, Survive and Recover

The Giving Coast

When disaster strikes, we may not know which organization will show up—but we do know our neighbors will. The truth is, people may be ready to prepare... but they’re never ready to recover. I created Local Relief because I lived through that confusion. The systems we trust to help during disasters are often overwhelmed, disconnected, or impossible to navigate in real time. Help is out there—but it’s scattered across a thousand places, drowning in noise. Local Relief changes that. It’s a nonprofit mobile app that connects disaster survivors with real help, local updates, and trusted resources—from verified nonprofits, government agencies, and community responders. It’s not about replacing those systems. It’s about connecting the dots so people don’t fall through the cracks. This isn’t just helpful. It’s necessary. And right now—we need your help to get it in front of the people who need it most.
