Senior Friendship Centers (SFC) Receives $27,000 Investment from Community Foundation of Sarasota County to Bolster Services for Caregivers

Senior Friendship Centers receives $27,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County (CFSC) to support The Caregiving Place. Funding for caregiver resources provided by the Verna L. Grauel Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with $13,500 allocated to Adult Day Services and $13,500 to the Caregiver Resource Center.This investment comes at a critical time when more families seek reliable care for loved ones with memory challenges. Notably, June is recognized as Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month—a time that underscores the importance of services for those affected by memory loss and their caregivers. The grant will help expand Senior Friendship Centers' Adult Day Services, which provides a safe and engaging environment for older adults, and strengthen the Caregiver Resource Center, which offers essential support, education, and respite for family caregivers.
