The First 1,000 Days Suncoast Initiative is proud to serve as a committed partner and community champion in a regional, collaborative response to support parents struggling with prenatal substance use and provide help prior to delivery to reduce its impact on their babies. With leadership from the Family Safety Alliance in Florida’s 12th Judicial Circuit, the Suncoast region has partnered with the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW) to implement cross-sector strategies that prioritize compassion, prevention, and family preservation.
