Englewood Hospital's School Supply Drive Eases Burden for Families

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is helping students head back to school with confidence, thanks to its annual We Show Up® School Supply Drive. Throughout July, hospital colleagues donated backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other essentials to support children of healthcare workers and students in the area. Collection stations were placed at the new HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency Center and at Englewood Hospital. The drive provided 22 children of hospital employees with backpacks filled with basic school supplies and a $20 gift card to a retailer for additional items. Volunteers also delivered three boxes of supplies to Kids’ Needs of Greater Englewood, a nonprofit that supports local students with clothing and school necessities.
