This coming Sunday, August 17, Goodwill Manasota will celebrate National Thrift Shop Day. The observance is dedicated to celebrating the practice of thrifting and the joy of finding unique, one-of-a-kind items; at Goodwill, though, the shopping experience is directly tied to the success of the nonprofit organization's mission-integrated donated goods operations. Revenue from Goodwill's retail operations support its mission of "Changing Lives Through the Power of Work," helping community members to find work, build job skills, and move toward financial stability.
