ensembleNewSRQ Marks 10 Years with Bold New Season!

Arts & Culture

The season’s programming brings a rare alignment of milestones: the 50th anniversary of Steve Reich’s groundbreaking “Music for 18 Musicians,” the composer’s 90th birthday, and enSRQ’s own 10th season. Equally momentous is the Sarasota staging of Matthew Aucoin’s operetta, “Music for New Bodies,” directed by internationally acclaimed Peter Sellars, in a collaboration with Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota. ensembleNEWSRQ (enSRQ), Sarasota’s innovative chamber music ensemble, announces its 10th anniversary season with six concerts featuring adventurous programming, newly commissioned works, pivotal collaborations, and its first-ever operetta production. Founders and co-artistic directors Samantha Bennett and George Nickson have curated a season that reflects the ensemble’s first decade of fearless artistry while charting bold new horizons.
