Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center was named among the nation’s best nursing homes, recognized for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care in U.S. News’ annual “Best Nursing Homes” ratings released this week. Since 2009, U.S. News has recognized the best nursing homes (also called skilled nursing facilities) to help prospective residents and their families make informed decisions about where to receive nursing home care. The 2026 list recognizes the top 1,200 nursing homes of approximately 15,000 evaluated across the nation. This is the fourth year in a row that the Sarasota Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been nationally recognized by U.S. News. The skilled nursing facility also has been repeatedly ranked among the nation’s best nursing homes by Newsweek and awarded 5-star quality ratings from the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
