Lifeworks in Photography: A Lecture with Clyde Butcher

Things To Do

In this PowerPoint lecture, Clyde Butcher shares the story of his life in photography, from his early years behind the camera to his deep connection with America’s wild landscapes. The presentation traces his path from architectural model photography to early black-and-white and color landscapes, and ultimately to the large-format black-and-white work for which he is best known. Through powerful images from across the United States and Florida, Clyde reflects on his photographic process, the challenges and rewards of working in the natural world, and how his career led him into environmental conservation. The lecture offers both a personal retrospective and a visual journey through places that have shaped his life and work. The presentation concludes with a question-and-answer session with the audience.
