Goodwill Manasota Celebrates New Milestone

The Giving Coast

Nonprofit organization Goodwill Manasota has achieved a new milestone: more than 100 million pounds of items that were given a second life through Goodwill's retail stores (rather than being dumped in area landfills). Goodwill, who has been at the forefront of the "reduce, reuse, recycle" movement since its founding more than 100 years ago, has the ultimate goal of zero waste; it works with salvage and recycling companies to move items that can't be sold in stores.
