The Giving Coast

Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation (CRSF) recently held a fundraiser in Sarasota as part of their 25th Anniversary celebration. The fundraiser featured a private dinner for about 60 guests at the The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota on Tuesday, March 3. Notable attendees included Cal Ripken Jr., hosts Alan Rifkin and Leslie Rifkin, Sarasota City Commissioner Kyle Battie, and other community leaders. The evening raised approximately $200,000 to benefit programs and services for the Roy McBean Boys & Girls Club in Sarasota. "As the spring home of the Baltimore Orioles, the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation is so delighted to hold our first ever Sarasota event," said Alan Rifkin. "The generosity and commitment of this community to assisting those who need it most will provide the Ripken Foundation the resources to extend our programs and services to the Roy McBean Boys and Girls in the Newtown community of Sarasota."
