Wellen Park will host its fourth annual Half Marathon and 5K Race on Saturday, March 21, featuring a newly certified 13.1-mile course approved by USA Track & Field. Presented by Hotwire Communications. Both races start at Solis Hall in Downtown Wellen. The half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 7:45 a.m. Walkers are welcome, along with strollers and well-behaved dogs. Both races are open to participants 13 and older, registration for the half marathon is $50 for ages 13 to 18 and $75 for ages 19 and older. Registration for the 5K is $20 for ages 18 and younger and $35 for all others. Portions of the race proceeds and all donations benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.
