Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) is pleased to announce that Supervising Attorney Shannon Stafford has been honored with the Tania Schmidt-Alpers Award for Legal Excellence at a recent statewide legal summit. This prestigious award recognizes an Injunction for Protection (IFP) Project Attorney who reflects the legacy of the late Tania Schmidt-Alpers through leadership, legal excellence, and a deep commitment to increasing survivor safety and holding offenders accountable. Stafford began her work with SPARCC in January 2017 with the launch of the IFP Project. She now serves as Supervising Attorney, continuing to represent survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking—helping them navigate the legal system and secure critical protections.
