Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMH) was recognized as Florida’s top employer for women in a new study released by Forbes. Sarasota County’s largest employer and only community-owned health system, SMH also ranked #28 nationally across all industry employers and #8 among U.S. healthcare employers in Forbes’ “America’s Best Employers for Women 2026” released last week.
