One of classical music's most celebrated works will return to Sarasota this December, thanks in part to a $10,000 grant from The Exchange. Each year, The Exchange awards grants to nonprofit organizations that enrich Sarasota through the arts, education and community programs. The grant will help La Musica Chamber Music present an encore performance of all six of J.S. Bach's "Brandenburg Concertos" in a single evening, performed by distinguished artists from the world-renowned Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Regarded as one of the crowning achievements of the Baroque era, the six concertos are celebrated for their dazzling virtuosity, inventive orchestration and remarkable range of musical expression.
