Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties will host their annual “Champions for Children” Gala beginning with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by a delicious 3-course dinner, catered by Michael’s On East, Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Ora, 578 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, FL 34232. There will be live auctions, raffles, impactful storytelling and entertainment. The gala attire is cocktail, with black tie optional for those who wish to elevate their look. Presented by the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation, this signature fundraising event will honor the remarkable legacy of Louis and Gloria Flanzer, whose lifelong commitment to philanthropy transformed communities across the region. Deeply dedicated to serving others, the Flanzers believed in the power of investing in organizations that strengthen lives and create lasting opportunities for generations to come.
