A group of 30 students from State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) expanded their studies beyond the classroom during a summer 2026 study-abroad trip to France, Switzerland and the Riviera in June.Led by Michael Rogers, professor of American history and political science at SCF Venice, students explored the region’s history and culture through guided tours and excursions to historic sites, museums and cultural landmarks. Rogers has led SCF’s summer study-abroad trip in Europe since 2016. Rogers is planning a “Cold War” trip to Germany, the Czech Republic and Hungary in Summer 2027.
